MLK Day Special: Channeling Righteous Anger
In honor of MLK Jr Day, I’m chatting with @misterconyers son of the longest serving African American congressman who is responsible for creating MLK Day as a national holiday. He introduced the bill and fought for it for 15 yrs before it was passed, and introduced other bills on studying reparations for slavery as early as the 70’s. John Conyers Jr. fought for civil rights for all for over 50 yrs. Sadly, he passed away last year after a very impactful life. I’m super excited to talk to my friend and his son and Huffington post writer and intellectual, John, tonight about the intersectional issues of channeling righteous anger, and empowerment.
